ANA Convention 2012 Opening Ceremony
The Grand opening of the ANA convention will start at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 30th, 2012.
Dear community leaders & Participants:
On behalf of the 30th ANA Convention organizing committee, I would like to invite you to represent your ethnic groups in the Grand Opening Ceremony in Trinity Ballroom, Hilton Anatole at 3 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2012.
It is a great opportunity to represent your ethnic or cultural group by proudly wearing your traditional attire and/or performing your cultural presentation.

We are preparing to display all if not most ethnicity and cultural background as possible of Nepal. In general sense we would like to have representative from your ethnic background wear your traditional attire and or perform any cultural representation of your ethnicity during the opening ceremony on Saturday, June 30th, 2012. Grand Opening Ceremony Coordinator
30th ANA Convention 2012, Dallas, Texas
The parade will march torch to the stage. Audience and non performing group/individuals will leave stage area and sit down in front line of the audiences. Stage performers will go to back-stage to be called by the Emcee.(Various cultural songs/music will be playing in the background)
AFter the parage is completed, the Mahadev, Ram/Sita, Laxman, Hanuman and Kurari (Living-Goddess) will call to stand on the stage (3:27pm-3:30pm).
We will have girls holding US/Nepalese national flags with a spot light over the flag. Then the girls will stand up as the lights in the hall are turned on (3:31pm-3:32pm approx).
An elderly Nepali national will light the Diyo Batti.There will be a live National anthem performed by a group (3:22pm-3:35pm).
After the Diyo Batti ceremony, a Nepali priest will perform a Shanti Path (prayer).VIP will be on stage to open the Ceremony curtain (3:27pm-3:40pm).
A patriotic song perfornance.
Right after the song,
1. Speaker: ANA Convention Chair person
2. Speaker: ANA Convention Co-Chair
After the national anthem, we will have a Lakhey Dance from the gate to the stage.

- Performing on stage:
- NNA-DFW (Newah)
- Not performing on stage:
- Lions Club
Followed by Pulu Kisi Dance
Followed by Lama DanceFollowed by a GRAND WELCOME SPEECH by the ANA President or Ceremony Coordinator.
The Opening ceremony program will be completed by 5:00pm.
