30th ANA Convention Cultural Night Successfully Organized

30th ANA Convention Cultural night was successfully held on Saturday, June 30th at Trinity Hall of Hilton Anatole Hotel, Dallas keeping with  the theme of “Saya Thari Baja Eutai Taal” (A Hundred Instruments, One Rhythm).  The night emphasized in unity and harmony by promoting items from different ethnic cultural backgrounds. Performers from various states participated in the show. The show was hosted by three powerful emcees Ms. Richa Sharma, Mr. Suman Karki and Mr. Shailesh Pokarel.

The event opened in a very traditional way with a beautifully choreographed Ganesh Bandana  by Shardula Joshi . The dancers were Anu Pandey , Manish Prasain, Anu Kafle and Anima Gyawali ,Shardula Joshi, Nishtoz Bhattarai, Dambar Bohara and Satish Gaire.

Audience enjoyed a Texan treat, tap dances by Dallas Dazzlers.

Out of state performers included song by Sabina Joshi, Florida.

Neha Pokharel, Krisha Regmi, Saisha Adhikari performed exhilarating  folk  dance number . The choreography credit goes to Sasmita Adhikari, Nebraska.

Audience cheered as  Manjhana KC, Shobha Tripathi, Nischalta Chhetri, Sonia Shah, Anup Thaku, Pravin Maharjan, Ukesh Kandel, Mahendra Oli performed  medley of Nepali upbeat folk dances, OkhlahomaDallas.

Austin presentation Tamang Selo by Thakur Koirala and Asta Maya Koirala and Manjushree dance by Asta Maya Koirala were spectacular.

Houston presentation, patriotic drama Amako Kakh featured Basil Aryal, Somuna Aryal, Amrit Lamichhane, Basu Paudel, Amrit Kandel, Niranjan Sharma (light and music operator), Saras Paudel received a standing ovation.

Fort Worth girls Jessica Bhandari, Monica Nepal, Biyanka Nepal showcased thier creative medley of  Maithali, Nepali pop dances.

The entire Trinity Hall lighted up as Maruni dancers (Mannu Thapa Koirala, Innu Thapa, Shraddha Thapa, Shubhana Siwakoti, Samikshya Acharya, Ami Lamsal, Pragya Bhattarai, Pragya Lamsal, Nistoz Bhattarai, Sailesh Pokharel)  took up the stage in colorful Maruni costumes . The dance was choreographed by Ms. Mannu Thapa Koirala.

Newari Cultural Association of Dallas was represented by Sylvia Manandhar, Ayushma Bajracharya, Ashna Adhikari, Samikshya Shrestha with their beautiful Newari number.

Playful dance/act by Bandana and Eva was very appreciated by the audience.

Classic song item by Mr Tunganath Sharma added more cultural variations to the show.

East met west as Bhutanese community of Dallas showcased various numbers with medley of Nepali and American songs. The performers were Supriya Siwakoti, Sujata Basnet , Bidya Niroula, Anupa Chawhan, Suraj Basnet, Dinesh Siwakoti, Bikash Gautam, Umesh Siwakoti, Ranjana Rai, Meena Bhandari, Durga Ghimerey, Kamala Dangal, Rojina Rai, Susma Rai,Tika Gurung. More of Bhutanese Community presentation included act by Jeetu Gurung and sensational  song Tek Dudhraj.

Indreni Cultural Association, Dallas stunned the audience by their jaw dropping performances.  Jhyaaure dance by Abiral Pandey, Anupam Pandey, Aisha Ojha, Shristi Ghimire, Triyukta Ghimire, Nirpa Regmi, Alisha Dhakal, Bharosha Adhikari energized the crowd.

Patriotic musical drama by Abiral Pandey, Anupam Pandey, Aisha Ojha, Shristi Ghimire, Triyukta Ghimire, Nirpa Regmi, Alisha Dhakal, Bharosha Adhikari, Pomal Giri, Pramisa timsina, Monica Sharma, Ayusha Adhikari, Natali Shrestha, Samikshya Shrestha, Bhabyata Adhikari, Maniya Bista, Netra Panday, Uttam Khadka, Indira Khadka, Chhabi kala Pathak, Chandra Chudal, Amrita Timsina, Narmada Rana, Indira Bhusal overwhelmed the crowd with feel of patriotism, art and culture.  The choreographer for the both items was none other than Dikshya Bhatta. Poetry recital by famous poet Viplob Pratik added ornamental aspect to the musical drama.

The audience left the show elated, satisfied and cultured like never before.
